Worship Leader

The Worship Leader will work with the Pastor of Worship & Liturgical Arts to provide spiritual leadership to the church through musical worship. The Worship Leader will create weekly worship sets and give support to our worship volunteers on Sunday mornings, as well as other worship services. This role is both ministerial and creative, requiring musical gifting, spiritual maturity, and a heart for spiritual formation.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

I. Musical Worship

• Partner with PWLA to cultivate a healthy worship team

• Partner with PWLA to create weekly worship sets

• Participate weekly in Sunday morning worship

• Participate in weekly rehearsals

• Create slides for worship services

• Oversee set up and tear down for Sunday mornings (gear and instruments)

• Recruit, train, and schedule weekly worship volunteers (band/vocals, AV/lyrics)

• Work with PWLA to develop and hone spiritual leadership instincts as well as technical skills

• Lead worship for special services/events as needed

II. Communications

• Format content for the weekly Newsletter and occasional Member communications

• Create visual content for IG posts (weekly)

• Create slides for Sunday morning announcements

MINISTRY DIRECTOR

The Ministry Director collaborates with the pastoral team to support the effective execution of CTK’s vision and ministry efforts. This role plays a key part in strategic planning to ensure that the goals, systems, practices, and policies are aligned to successfully implement ministry initiatives.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

I. STRATEGIC PLANNING

• Lead and direct regular strategic ministry planning meetings for pastoral staff

• Collaborate with pastoral staff to develop key strategies and systems for annual ministry planning

• Collaborate with pastoral staff to ensure that strategic ministry goals are developed and achieved

II. OPERATIONS

• Develop and oversee internal operations processes, including event workflows, communication timelines, and the membership onboarding process

• Review existing systems and procedures, identifying areas for refinement and increased efficiency (e.g. event planning, communications, Sunday morning logistics, etc.)

• Assist in managing key digital tools such as Google Drive, planning software, and communication platforms

• Manage the internal staff calendar to coordinate meetings, events, and ministry schedules

III. Service & Event Logistics

• Provide administrative support for ministry events by managing timelines, coordinating communication, and purchasing supplies as needed

• Manage event registrations and communicate with attendees

• Attend services and events as needed to provide additional staff support

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with Google Workspace tools (calendar, drive, sheets, docs)

• Willingness to learn Planning Center and project management software

• Ability to think strategically

• Comfortable problem-solving and taking initiative

• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation

• Professional communication skills (written and verbal)

• Reports to Rev. Ashley Mathews (Rector)

• Full Time (Monday-Friday)

• This position requires regular in office presence with some remote work flexibility

• Pay rate dependent on experience
