Alpha
Alpha is a series of evenings where people can get together to share a meal, hear a short talk and have honest conversations about life and matters of faith. If you or someone you know is exploring spirituality, questioning or curious about Christian faith, then this is the place.
Alpha begins in February at The Apollo on Emma in downtown Springdale and will run for seven weeks. The meals are free, and and you're welcome to come with a friend just to check things out for launch night. We will also be heading over to Odd Soul for post-Alpha hangs if anyone wants to join us!
You can learn more about Alpha or register to attend here. If you are interested in helping us host Alpha you can sign up to do that here.

Parkwood Prayer Gatherings
On February 26th and again on March 5th, we're going to be gathering for prayer and worship for the first time as a church in our new building! This will be a special time for us to explore the space together before any construction begins. We will also be sharing a few details and tentative plans for how we envision transforming the existing building into a distinctly sacred space. Both nights will be identical in content and structure, so choose the date that works best for you!
We will also have a time to worship, pray and even write scriptures on the walls as we dedicate our future home to the Lord together. So plan to join us!

On Thursday, March 12th, we will be hosting a Worship & Prayer service. These nights are opportunities to come together for an unhurried time of prayer, worship and quiet contemplation. There is no pressure to do anything at all. Simply come, sit and be with God.
This special Lenten gathering will serve to create space for lament as well as praise. It will be a unique opportunity to bring our burdens and sorrows (both personal and corporate) to Jesus in prayer.

Confession Class
On Monday March 16th we are hosting a class on the spiritual practice of confession. Scripture exhorts all followers of Jesus to confess our sins to one another that we may be healed (James 5:16) and historically the church has emphasized confession as a part of the Lenten season in preparation for Easter. This class will be focused on the “why” and “how” of confession, leading up to times of confession that we will be offering as a church during holy week. Learn more about the class and register here.

Families with young children are encouraged to attend our 6P service. We will be imposing ashes at all of our services.

Snack Packs for Refugee Students
This Advent, we are intentionally making space to serve our neighbors alongside one of our local mission partners, Canopy Northwest Arkansas. Canopy is dedicated to creating a welcoming community for incoming refugees, equipping them with everything they need to build new lives here. Over the next two weeks we will be sharing afterschool “snack pack” wishlists with specific food items and small toys that can be collected and given to refugee youth who are participating in one of Canopy’s afterschool programs around the region. Snack packs will then be collected on Sunday mornings on December 7th and 14th. Get some snack items and small toys together to assemble a snack pack—or a few of them with friends! You can find instructions for packing and a list of items needed here.
Evening Prayer Services
For three weeks during the Advent season, we are going to mark time together by gathering for Evening Prayer. The liturgy for Evening Prayer comes to us from the Book of Common Prayer, and it is one of the Church's most influential and treasured gifts. For those who are beginning to explore the benefits of liturgical prayer, this is a great place to start.
