Let’s Go Home

The Journey Home Campaign is a capital campaign to raise the funds needed to renovate our future church home.

We hope to raise $2 Million over the next two years. We would love for you to join the journey home with us.

Why a capital campaign?

In December of 2025, Christ the King purchased an office building with the intention of turning it into our long term worshipping home. We were able to raise enough money in a short period of time to put toward our down payment and to purchase the building. Praise God. That is the starting line. Now we begin the journey home.

CTK wants to be a community that is embodying the good news of Jesus with the whole of our lives for the sake of other people. We are not only moving locations or renovating a building. We are creating a place where we can meet friends, forge partnerships, be good neighbors, host guests, and nurture our families for generations to come.

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Christ the King began as a small evening prayer gathering in a living room in Fayetteville. The group eventually incorporated, and was formally received as an Anglican Church in 2013. Over the last thirteen years, CTK has worshiped in other churches, rental venues, and para-church spaces.

Since the fall of 2022, we have worshipped at Springdale Adventist Fellowship, and during that time we have grown from a small congregation of a few families to over six hundred on Sundays.

Renovating our New Home

Before we can move in, we need to create a sanctuary, build out additional gathering space, and transform existing rooms into kids and youth spaces.

PLACE FOR WORSHIP

Anglicans care a lot about their places of worship, and for good reason. Every place reflects values and creates culture. Within the limits of an existing structure and budget, we will shape a sanctuary marked by natural light, a central aisle and altar space, and high ceilings. Most importantly, we want the space to serve worship and strengthen community life.

Throughout the building, elements like our belltower and archways, natural light, and green space will create a warm, inviting, and distinctly sacred feel. This work will require us to essentially gut the entire building floor to ceiling. We will need new lights, floors, chairs, walls and structures, along with critical systems such as HVAC, sprinkler, sound, and lighting.

A SACRED SPACE

SPACES TO GROW

We will have the opportunity, for the first time, to create rooms designed specifically for kids and youth. This includes large gathering rooms, as well as smaller rooms for nursery and younger classes. We will have large indoor flex spaces for kids to play and to worship together as a group. We look forward to creating outdoor space for play as well, and for all of us to be together under the trees one day.

These changes will require important but relatively modest renovations to the north end of the building, including new walls, new carpets, a bathroom for small children, and new furnishings.

KIDS & YOUTH SPACE

WARM WELCOME

One of the biggest challenges to the existing building is the lack of indoor gathering space beyond the sanctuary and classrooms. We need a real indoor connection point where people can say hello between services.

The current foyer is too small to serve as a meaningful gathering point, so we need to create additional space by adding roughly 2,000 sqft to the east side of the building. This will help us move in and out of the sanctuary more easily, provide needed separation from the outdoors, and create an indoor connection point for people to connect.
